Accountabilities
- Installation Planning: Develop and monitor detailed installation plans, defining the sequencing of assembly activities in coordination with Site and Construction Managers while anticipating bottlenecks and ensuring critical project milestones are met.
- Resource and Site Readiness: Ensure the timely availability of labor, tools, equipment, and materials, while overseeing receiving and storage logistics so project sites remain adequately supplied according to short- and medium-term plans.
- Subcontractor Performance: Monitor subcontractor progress by comparing planned activities against actual execution, reporting key performance indicators, and managing risks that could affect the project schedule.
- Engineering Coordination: Ensure installation teams consistently work from the latest Issued for Construction project documentation and support the management of non-conformities by assessing schedule impacts and coordinating rapid solutions with Engineering and project management.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze feedback from field operations to improve future planning and promote a lessons-learned culture that transforms resolved challenges into stronger productivity practices and organizational standards.
- Safety and Asset Protection: Ensure all planned activities prioritize employee safety and asset preservation by integrating Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements throughout every stage of project scheduling and execution.
- Requirements
- Education: Completed technical education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electrotechnical fields, or a completed university degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Project Planning Experience: Previous experience managing the planning of electromechanical construction projects, particularly in hydroelectric power plants or small hydroelectric plants (PCHs).
- Planning Tools: Advanced proficiency with project planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
- Language Skills: Advanced Spanish proficiency, including the ability to translate technical information and communicate effectively in meetings; intermediate English is considered an advantage.
- Mobility: Availability for frequent domestic and international travel and relocation or temporary assignment to project locations as required.
- Planning and Coordination: Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, identify schedule risks, and maintain control over project priorities.
- Communication and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with site leadership, construction teams, subcontractors, engineering, and project management while communicating schedule impacts and solutions clearly.
