- Paid Acquisition Lead
- Fully Remote · Full-Time · $1,500 USD/month
- This is an internal role at ScaleSource, a remote staffing agency. You will not be placed with a client. You'll own paid acquisition for ScaleSource itself, working directly with Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Development to turn ad spend into qualified pipeline and revenue.
- What This Role Actually Is
ScaleSource doesn't need someone who launches campaigns and reports on impressions or clicks. We need someone who owns the full funnel
- Ad → Landing Page → Lead Capture → Booked Sales Call → Qualified Opportunity → Sales Pipeline → Closed Revenue
- If something anywhere in that chain is blocking revenue, whether it's targeting, creative, the landing page, the offer, tracking, follow-up, or the channel itself, it's your job to find it, test a fix, and measure the result. The goal isn't a good-looking ad dashboard. It's a paid acquisition system that reliably produces sales-qualified pipeline and revenue.
- What You'll Own
- Build, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and other channels when the business case supports it
- Own the funnel end to end, and diagnose exactly where it's breaking: targeting, creative, landing page, offer, or follow-up
- Continuously optimize landing pages for conversion, working with Marketing and Development
- Build and maintain audiences: retargeting, first-party data, lookalikes, and lead lists
- Keep attribution clean across Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Tag Manager, GA4, CRM, and UTMs
- Run a structured testing roadmap. Every meaningful test needs a hypothesis, an expected result, and a way to measure it
- Watch competitors and market trends for audiences, messaging, and creative angles worth testing
- Build reporting that ties ad spend directly to pipeline and revenue, not just platform metrics
- Work with Sales on lead quality, objections, show rates, and pipeline progression, and turn that feedback into real changes to targeting and creative
- Make budget calls based on pipeline and revenue evidence, not platform preference, and recommend what to scale, continue, rebuild, or cut
- How Success Is MeasuredNorth Star
- Three numbers this role is ultimately accountable for. Everything else exists to explain why they're moving.
- Paid-Sourced Sales-Accepted Pipeline — how much qualified pipeline paid acquisition is generating
- Paid-Sourced Closed-Won Revenue — how much revenue can be attributed back to paid acquisition
- Blended Customer Acquisition Cost — evaluated against ScaleSource's actual unit economics and CAC payback period, not an outside benchmark
- Real Targets
- Core paid landing pages: under 2.5 seconds LCP on mobile
- Sales call show-up rate: 70%+
- SQL acceptance rate: 80%+ once qualification criteria are established
- End-to-end conversion tracking completeness: 95%+
- Platform vs. CRM conversion variance: under 15%, investigate anything higher
- Structured tests launched: 4+ per month, with a 20-40% win rate as a healthy range. A test only counts if it has a hypothesis, expected outcome, measurement method, result, and next action
- Everything else, CTR, CPC, CPM, cost per lead, lead-to-SQL rate, cost per booked call, blended CAC, and win rate, gets a real baseline established first, then improved from there. These are diagnostic and progress metrics, not fixed targets, and none of them count as success on their own if they don't translate into qualified pipeline.
- Cadence: lead-quality review with Sales weekly, funnel and pipeline review weekly, budget allocation review monthly or sooner when the data calls for it.
- What Success Looks Like at 90 Days
- By the end of 90 days, ScaleSource should have moved from experimenting with paid advertising to operating a measurable system tied to pipeline and revenue. The expectation isn't that every campaign wins in 90 days. The expectation is that we stop guessing.
- By Day 30: Understand and Instrument the Funnel
- Audit existing campaigns, creative, offers, landing pages, and conversion flow
- Verify tracking end to end: ads, landing pages, forms/Calendly, GA4, pixels/tags, CRM
- Build full-funnel reporting from spend through closed revenue
- Set up a documented testing roadmap and a regular feedback loop with Sales
- By Day 60: Establish Baselines and Start Improving
- Establish real baselines: lead-to-SQL rate, cost per booked call, conversion rates, blended CAC, lead quality by channel
- Launch campaigns in the channels and verticals with the strongest case, and start testing audiences, creative, offers, and landing pages
- Ship at least one real landing page or funnel improvement
- Show at least one case where sales feedback changed targeting, creative, or messaging
- By Day 90: Prove the Acquisition Path
- A funnel that's measurable end to end, from ad to closed revenue
- Measurable improvement on at least one full-funnel metric over the established baseline
- Real cost-per-qualified-call and blended CAC numbers established
- At least one budget reallocation made on pipeline or revenue evidence, not platform preference
- A clear recommendation on where the next ad dollar should go, and what should be scaled, continued, rebuilt, or stopped
- Required Qualifications
- Please do not apply unless you meet these requirements.
- You've personally managed paid campaigns with measurable conversion or revenue outcomes, and can walk one through end to end: ad, landing page, conversion, pipeline, revenue
- Hands-on experience with at least two of: Meta Ads, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, YouTube Ads, TikTok Ads
- Real experience with tracking and attribution: Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Tag Manager, GA4, or CRM attribution
- You know the difference between a platform metric and an actual business outcome, and you use sales feedback and funnel data, not just ad-platform data, to make decisions
- You're comfortable testing your own assumptions and changing direction when the data says you're wrong
- Strong written and spoken English
- The strongest candidates will be able to show actual numbers from campaigns they personally owned.
- Preferred Qualifications
- These are not required, but they are a strong plus.
- Experience running paid acquisition for a B2B or service-based company
- Experience optimizing landing pages and conversion rates directly
- Experience working closely with Sales on lead qualification and pipeline
- Agency experience where you were accountable for both spend and business results
- Comfortable using AI and automation tools for research, analysis, creative, and reporting
- Tools You May Use
- You don't need experience with every tool, but you should be comfortable learning new platforms quickly.
- Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, YouTube Ads, TikTok Ads
- Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag
- CRM and sales pipeline tools
- Reporting and dashboard tools
- Landing page and conversion tools
- AI and automation tools
- Who This Role Is Perfect For
- You think like a growth operator, not just a media buyer
- You move fast, without waiting on someone else to unblock you
- You care about pipeline and revenue more than impressions and clicks
- You want ownership of the entire acquisition system, not just the ads inside it
- You use data to decide what happens next, and you're comfortable being wrong
- You work directly with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Development without waiting for someone else to diagnose the problem
- Who This Role Is NOT For
This role is not for someone who
- Considers the job done once a campaign is live
- Reports platform metrics as proof that something worked
- Optimizes for cheap clicks or cheap leads over real pipeline
- Ignores what happens to a lead after it hits Sales
- Needs a fixed playbook before making a decision
- Keeps spending on a channel out of preference rather than performance
- This is an ownership role.
- What Is In It For You
- $1,500 USD/month
- Full-time, fully remote, work from anywhere
- Ownership of ScaleSource's paid acquisition strategy and funnel
- Direct collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Development
- The chance to build the acquisition system, not inherit one
- A company that measures outcomes, encourages testing, and expects decisions backed by real data
- Where You Will Be Working
- ScaleSource is a remote-first company with team members across multiple countries. We operate using EOS: clear goals, weekly scorecards, direct feedback, accountability, and measurable outcomes. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Development toward one goal: turning paid acquisition into qualified pipeline and revenue.
- How to Apply
- Hit apply. You will be asked a short set of screening questions. Specific, numbers-based answers are expected, and vague answers will not move forward. If you have the right experience and you put in the effort, it gets noticed.
- At a later stage of the process, we may ask you for a short video submission.
