  • The position is strongly focused on test automation, with approximately 70% automation scripting and 30% manual QA activities.
  • You’ll work with modern tools including Playwright, Qase, GitHub, Jira, and established CI pipelines.
  • Your work will directly improve test coverage, release confidence, defect detection, and overall product reliability.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain automated functional, regression, and end-to-end test scripts using Playwright.
  • Convert repeatable manual test scenarios into reliable automated tests to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Execute automated test suites, analyze results, investigate failures, and identify potential defects or inconsistencies.
  • Perform manual QA testing alongside automation to maintain comprehensive coverage as the platform continues to evolve.
  • Monitor automated test executions and document failures, test results, and relevant observations in Qase.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements, acceptance criteria, expected behavior, and potential edge cases.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track defects in Jira, providing clear steps and supporting information.
  • Support regression testing, release validation, and quality activities throughout the ongoing platform migration and modernization program.
  • Perform API and data validation to verify application accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Support execution of automated tests within CI pipelines and recommend improvements to testing workflows and automation practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive test cases, test procedures, documentation, and known-issue records in Qase or comparable test management systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other team discussions.
  • Stay current with relevant testing technologies, automation techniques, and software quality practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software quality assurance or testing experience, including at least 2 years focused on test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright is strongly preferred; experience with Selenium, Cypress, or comparable automation frameworks is also valuable.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, with JavaScript particularly beneficial given the application environment.
  • Familiarity with C#, DHTMLX, and/or Vue.js to understand the applications being tested; deep development expertise is not required.
  • Experience with Qase or similar test management platforms such as Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail.
  • Experience using Jira for defect tracking and GitHub for source control and CI/pipeline integration.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA principles, software development life cycles, and automation best practices.
  • Ability to create comprehensive test cases, identify edge cases, assess risks, and determine effective testing strategies.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience working within Agile or iterative development environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate issues, risks, and findings clearly.
  • Strong self-management and proactivity, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of quality outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB are a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully distributed, collaborative environment.
