- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Especialista em Operações de Cloud & Middleware based in Brazil.
- This senior role is responsible for ensuring the availability, stability, and performance of critical technology platforms supporting financial services. You will operate across cloud, middleware, APIs, containers, and application platforms within a global 24x7 environment. The position combines proactive monitoring, incident management, technical troubleshooting, platform administration, and continuous improvement. You will work with AWS and Azure environments alongside cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift. The role also involves collaboration with global and multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex issues and strengthen operational resilience. Accountabilities
- Cloud Operations: Monitor and manage alerts across Cloud, Middleware, API, and container platforms, ensuring the health, availability, and performance of critical services.
- Incident Management: Perform initial incident analysis and troubleshooting, resolve issues within established SLAs and OLAs, and escalate complex problems to the appropriate technical teams.
- AWS & Azure Administration: Administer and support cloud environments across AWS and Microsoft Azure, executing operational procedures, standard changes, maintenance activities, and platform monitoring.
- Middleware Operations: Support and administer middleware and application server platforms, performing configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities across production and non-production environments.
- API & Integration Support: Operate and monitor API management platforms, investigate integration and API-related incidents, and ensure the availability and performance of integration services.
- Container Platform Operations: Monitor and support Kubernetes and OpenShift environments, analyzing events, alerts, and incidents affecting containerized applications and collaborating on cloud-native platform improvements.
- Monitoring & Observability: Use monitoring and observability platforms to identify performance, availability, and operational issues and contribute to proactive service management.
- Documentation & Procedures: Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, incident records, and other relevant support materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and operational efficiency across cloud and middleware environments.
- Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with global and multidisciplinary teams, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to stronger operational practices.
- Operational Governance: Follow established processes for incident, problem, change, and operational monitoring management while maintaining accurate operational records.
Requirements
- Professional Experience: Solid experience in technology operations, infrastructure support, platform administration, or a closely related field, ideally within high-availability and business-critical environments.
- Cloud Operations: Hands-on knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation, as well as Microsoft Azure services including Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Virtual Network, and Azure Active Directory.
- Container Technologies: Knowledge of OpenShift, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, ECS, Fargate, and Azure Container Apps.
- Middleware & Application Servers: Experience with technologies such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, IBM MQ, IBM FileNet, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, Microsoft IIS, NGINX, and JBoss.
- Integration Technologies: Knowledge of TIBCO BW and BPM, as well as API management platforms such as Apigee and Amazon API Gateway.
- Monitoring & Observability: Familiarity with Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.
- IT Service Management: Knowledge of ServiceNow and established practices for Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and operational monitoring.
- Education: Completed bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Certifications: AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Administrator, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes CKA/CKAD, ITIL Foundation, and Dynatrace Associate certifications are considered advantages.
- Languages: Intermediate to advanced Spanish and English, with sufficient conversational proficiency to collaborate with international teams.
- Operational Mindset: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, ability to work under SLA-driven conditions, and comfort operating critical platforms in a continuous-support environment.
- Availability: Willingness to work overnight shifts from 22:00 to 06:00, including scheduled weekends and holidays.
