  • The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with an international network of contributors while developing your own organising and leadership skills.

Accountabilities

  • Facilitate local meet-ups, introduce participants to the movement and its technologies, and guide the group toward meaningful action.
  • Create an inclusive environment where participants can contribute ideas, develop their skills, and gradually take ownership of initiatives.
  • Identify and coordinate projects focused on practical, achievable local issues and manage their delivery from planning through completion.
  • Build relationships within the local community and encourage participation around social, technological, and governance-related challenges.
  • Communicate the movement's mission, principles, and opportunities in an accessible and engaging way.
  • Coordinate regularly with core contributors and relevant members of the wider network to share progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Dedicate at least two hours per week for a minimum of six months, with a longer-term commitment of one year preferred.
  • Help strengthen the local circle by encouraging collaboration, trust, participation, and sustainable community ownership.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly with diverse participants and international contributors.
  • Genuine alignment with the mission of using decentralised technology to explore alternative forms of governance and strengthen individual and collective freedoms.
  • Sufficient availability to consistently support local activities and meet the expected weekly commitment.
  • A practical level of technological knowledge sufficient to understand and explain the fundamentals of the relevant decentralised technology stack.
  • Strong interest in social issues, community development, technology, and creating positive change.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, coordinate people, organise activities, and move projects from ideas to action.
  • Self-motivation, reliability, initiative, and willingness to take responsibility in a self-organised environment.
  • Previous experience organising events, communities, grassroots initiatives, or technology-related projects is advantageous but not essential.
  • Openness to learning new technologies and participating in training related to community organisation and the technology stack.
