Provivi Overview
- Provivi™ is a California-based, globally operating AgTech company using pheromones to protect crops from major damaging insects. Our patented production method enables a step change in the cost of manufacturing pheromones, allowing us to pioneer the use of this proven tool in high-acreage crops such as corn, rice and soy.
- Founded in 2013 by Nobel laureate Frances Arnold and Caltech scholars Pedro Coelho and Peter Meinhold, we are hiring the very best and brightest people to develop and commercialize our products.
- Provivi is seeking a Field Development Manager to lead field development activities in Brazil and support the advancement of our pheromone-based insect pest management products.
- As Provivi’s primary Field Development resource in Brazil, this person will manage the local Field Development function and serve as a key technical partner to internal teams, research organizations, growers, and commercial partners. This is a functional management role rather than a people-management role and does not currently include direct reports.
- The role is highly hands-on. The successful candidate will combine strong knowledge of entomology and pest management with practical field-development experience, working directly with partners and at field sites to ensure successful product evaluation, development, positioning, and deployment.
- Key Responsibilities
- Field Development
- Lead Field Development activities in Brazil, ensuring programs support product development, regulatory, and commercial objectives.
- Drive successful field evaluation and development of Provivi products across relevant crops, pests, geographies, and application methods.
- Establish appropriate technical positioning based on product performance, field conditions, grower needs, and market practices.
- Support the development and validation of effective application methodologies, including aircraft / drone application where appropriate.
- Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, pest-management practices, and competitive developments relevant to Provivi’s products in Brazil.
- Technical & Regulatory Support
- Provide field-development expertise and technical guidance to support product development and regulatory timelines.
- Ensure field-development programs generate high-quality technical evidence and reporting needed to support regulatory submissions and product advancement.
- Partner with Regulatory, Product, Formulation, Commercial, and other functions to address technical questions and development needs.
- Collaborate with Provivi’s Global Field Development leadership on technical documentation, protocols, and standard operating practices.
- Partners & External Stakeholders
- Serve as a key technical Field Development contact for CROs, research institutions, growers, commercial partners, and other external collaborators in Brazil.
- Build productive technical relationships with partners and independently guide field-development programs toward agreed objectives.
- Connect Provivi with relevant external expertise, including researchers and other subject-matter experts in entomology and pest management.
- Represent field realities and partner needs internally, helping ensure the voice of growers and commercial partners informs product development and positioning.
- Technical Enablement
- Develop and lead structured technical training programs for Provivi commercial teams, partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Translate field-development findings into clear, practical technical guidance that partners can use to appropriately position and support Provivi products.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively across multinational and geographically distributed teams.
- What Success Looks Like
- Field-development programs in Brazil are executed effectively and deliver reliable evidence supporting product advancement.
- Provivi products have clear, field-validated technical positioning and application approaches appropriate to Brazilian markets.

- CROs, growers, researchers, and commercial partners view Provivi as a capable and responsive technical partner.
- Sales and distribution teams are equipped with structured training and practical technical knowledge to confidently support Provivi products.
- The Brazil Field Development function operates effectively and independently while remaining well integrated with Provivi’s global teams.
- Qualifications & Experience
